About

We believe your best
memories deserve the
biggest screens in the room.

Most people have thousands of photos on their phones and zero of them on their TVs. That gap — between a 65-inch screen that runs a generic screensaver and a life full of extraordinary moments — is what picnplay was built to close.

We built picnplay because setting up a photo slideshow for a family reunion should not require an HDMI cable, a laptop restart, and a PowerPoint. It should be: open a URL, share a code, pick photos, and watch them fill the room.

How it works

picnplay creates a private casting room — identified by a 6-character code — that links a display (your TV, projector, or any browser) with one or more senders (your phone, tablet, or laptop). Photos stream in real time. No app install. No account on the TV. Rooms expire after six hours and leave no trace.

The display side is intentionally frictionless: navigate to picnplay.com/display and a room code appears immediately — no login required. Only the person casting photos needs an account, and only so we can access their Google Photos library on their behalf.

Privacy is the product

Your photos never pass through our servers. We act as a signaling layer — your images stream directly from Google's CDN to your display. We don't store, cache, or inspect the contents of any photo or video.

Plans

picnplay is live with a free tier and a Pro plan ($2.50/month). The free tier covers everything you need to get started — rooms, Google Photos casting, and basic albums. Pro adds extended storage, longer videos, advanced transitions, and more. A generous free tier will always exist.
